A powerful detail from CityKids Speak on Liberty: the monumental 1986 collaboration between Keith Haring and CityKids. The Liberty Torch isolates one of the composition’s most recognizable symbols: the Statue of Liberty raising her torch, surrounded and filled with the handwritten messages, drawings, names, and reflections contributed by young people throughout the original work.
Presented as a large-format, limited-edition work, the composition emphasizes the figure's verticality and preserves the extraordinary density of individual voices embedded throughout the artwork.
