SUMMER WAVES BY A-MASHIRO
Welcome to the Summer Waves by A-Mashiro pre-sale.
You are invited to reserve Summer Waves, a new work by Japanese artist A-Mashiro exploring the relationship between digital image-making and traditional Japanese visual language. The work brings his distinctive composition of color, pattern, and movement into dialogue with the recurring imagery of the wave.
Collectors participating in the pre-sale will receive early access ahead of the public release, with the opportunity to collect the digital artwork and its corresponding limited-edition, hand-signed physical print.
The physical edition was produced in Tokyo in collaboration with 360°GRAPHICS, a printmaking studio founded in 1982 that has produced works for artists including Yayoi Kusama, Tadanori Yokoo, and Yoko Ono. The underlying image is printed in giclée, followed by two additional layers: a medium that gives the surface its distinctive sheen while protecting the image, and a final layer of silver ink that renders the wave pattern with a physical depth and presence that cannot be experienced on screen.
Together, the digital and physical works offer two encounters with the same image: one transmitted through light, the other through ink, surface, and scale.

FAQ
-
Summer Waves is a digital artwork by Tokyo based artist A Mashiro, released as an edition of 25 on Ethereum.
This piece marks an evolution in A-Mashiro’s visual language. Patterns that were previously contained within individual forms are released across the entire composition, while brightness becomes an explicit artistic aim. Together, these changes create a greater sense of openness, movement, and spatial freedom within the work.
-
The work introduces a new compositional possibility within A Mashiro’s established visual language. For the first time, he allows a Japanese wave pattern to move beyond the circles and lines that traditionally contained it and spread across the entire composition.
-
Summer Waves was digitally painted entirely by hand. A-Mashiro developed the linework using a Wacom pen display and Clip Studio Paint before working extensively with color, pattern, and texture in Photoshop. The process included repeated color adjustments, detailed pattern editing, and close inspection of individual lines and forms.
-
No. Summer Waves is neither generative nor AI-generated. The artwork was digitally drawn and painted by A-Mashiro entirely by hand.
-
Summer Waves is limited to 25 editions, available on a first come, first served basis.
-
Summer Waves will be released on Ethereum as an ERC-1155 digital edition.
-
Yes. Every purchase of Summer Waves includes both the digital artwork and one corresponding museum quality, hand signed and numbered physical edition.
-
The physical edition is a 24 × 36-inch print combining giclée printing with silkscreened silver elements. The additional silkscreen process introduces a reflective material quality that cannot be reproduced through giclée printing alone.
-
The physical edition begins with the same composition as the digital artwork but is conceived as a distinct physical expression of the work. The silkscreened silver introduces reflectivity, texture, and a changing relationship with light that exists only in the physical edition.
-
The physical edition is produced by 360°GRAPHICS in Tokyo. A printmaking studio founded in 1982 with more than four decades of experience across silkscreen and giclée.
For A Mashiro, the collaboration was as much artistic as technical: the studio approached the physical edition as an artwork in its own right rather than simply reproducing a digital file. -
Each edition is $750 USD. The $750 purchase includes both the digital artwork and one museum quality, hand signed and numbered physical print. There is no additional cost for the physical edition.
-
During the pre-sale, collectors can purchase Summer Waves using a credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or ETH. After the pre-sale ends, Summer Waves will only be purchasable using ETH during the public sale.
